Mission...

Media professionals haven't changed, but the world in which we work most definitely has.  – Connie Gore –

Experienced in online and print daily news, I have been building a book of business for freelance news writing, editing, press releases and Web site content management.

Currently, I write for CityBizList.com, but have also recently written for D CEO magazine, RealtyNewsReport.com and NYInc.com, with a focus on commercial real estate. I also write and distribute press releases for commercial real estate companies of all sizes, offering creative services on a retainer or as-need basis.

My background as an assignment editor and reporter has served me well in getting press releases published in local, regional and national publications. My daily news experience means I understand and value the importance of deadlines and am at my best in a fast-paced, versatile and detail-driven workplace, providing clients most often with one-day turnarounds.

I was the national news editor and Southwest bureau chief for GlobeSt.com, a commercial real estate news Web site that I helped to launch in July 2000 and remained with it until a November 2008 restructuring. The eight years of Internet publishing with GlobeSt.com provided the foundation for me to pursue Webmaster certification through the University of Texas at Arlington, which was done to offer an assurance to clients that they can entrust their Web sites to me for enhancement and content management. Immediately after I completed the course, I designed and launched thepresscorner.com, providing professional friends with an online presence and resume resource.

I am an experienced business writer, covering simple and complex stories, hard news and trends, as well as a feature writer. The bulk of my career was spent as a reporter and copy editor at a daily newspaper in western Pennsylvania, the Tribune-Review. My background includes helping to launch a weekly commercial real estate newspaper in Dallas as its managing editor and copywriting for a Dallas advertising agency.

I have been a member of the Online News Association since 2001 and National Association of Real Estate Editors since 2000.
